Welcome to AP Lit and More! I hope you look to this website as a trusted source for ideas, techniques, and resources related to teaching AP English Lit and other ELA courses. I use this site to record creative lessons or unique teaching ideas I’ve integrated into my own classroom, as well as interviews, research, and pedagogy that I’ve learned throughout my career. Occasionally I’ll link to my store on Teachers Pay Teachers, but my main efforts are focused on inclusiveness, engagement, and creativity in the English classroom.
About Me:

I am a high school English teacher at a private K-12 school in St. Paul, MN. Currently, I teach the sophomore English classes, Shakespearean Literature, AP English Literature, and either Journalism or British Literature, depending on the year. I have experience with freshman English and other English electives as well. I’ve been teaching for 14 years and absolutely love it. I’ve found great success in my career and I want to share my love of teaching, plus some creative ideas I’ve formed so far, with anyone interested.

When I’m not teaching, I head home to my busy life there. I am married and have three beautiful, wonderful, and very noisy children. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and relaxing at our family cabin whenever possible.
Please contact me if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions/requests for future blog posts! Blessings!
